Tramper hurt

TAIHAPE, Oct. 27. One of a party of three Auckland trampers was injured on Saturday in the Western Ruahine State Forest ranges south-east of Taihape. Guy Larkin, aged 22, gashed his left leg when he fell, and had to be assisted to a hut. About 11.30 this morning one of Mr Larkin’s companions reported the accident to the State forest base camp. A rescue party had gone into the ranges in heavy rain.
