New bill on treatment

Ninety per cent of those seeking chiropractic treatment did so because they had been unable to obtain relief from the medical profession, Parliament was told by Mrs. D. C. Jelicich (Lab., Hamilton; West). She sought leave to intro-; duce the Social Security! Amendment. (No. 2) Bill which would bring chiropractic services under the benefits of the social security and. Accident Compensation Schemes. The debate was; interrupted by me luncheon. adjournment. Mrs Jelicich said that if the bill became law it would rectify a situation urgent to those who practised chiropracty and those on low incomes who had to pay for! their own X-rays as well as! treatment.
