Early lead lost
Miss M. Smith, of New Zealand, who had a twostroke lead after the first round, finished second after a second round of 80 in the $5OOO Tarax Women’s International Classic at the Patterson River course near Melbourne.
Miss A. Kenny, from Sydney, won with two rounds of 77, and Miss S. Parker (United Kingdom), aged 19, was third on 157, in her professional debut, six strokes ahead of the former New Zealand Tasman Cup player, Mrs G. Dwyer, from Victoria. The best of the United; States contingent was Miss N. Tawny (84, 82).
