This group provides the operating system and utilities from the computer operation and is responsible for its performance and effectiveness. The computer, an 1.8. M. 370/168 supports a national network of remote, job entry and time showing terminals, and provides a service to Government departments with engineering and scientific applications. Applicants must be proficient in the use of an assembler language as well as familiar with either PLI or Fortran.
