Death sentence for Korean
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright) SEOUL. A young Korean from Japan has been sentenced to death for murdering the wife of President Park Chung Hee in an abortive attempt to assassinate the President in Seoul. Mun Se Kwang, aged 22, from Osaka, stood upright and showed little outward emotion as he heard the sentence passed in the Seoul Criminal District Court. Mun later told his Stateappointed defence lawyer that he intended to appeal. Mun had admitted prosecution charges that he acted on orders from two North I Korean agents operating in Japan when he fired pistol shots in a National Day ceremony on August 15, missing the President but killing his MS-year-old wife instead.
