SOBEIT LIKELY AT PAEROA

Without much to spare, Sobeit won pretty decisively under 58kg at Ellerslie last Saturday, sufficiently well to seem a bright chance in the first leg of the T.A.B. double, the October Handicap at Paeroa today. After a few runs this season, Sobeit came back to form with a second placing over 2000 m at Te Rapa on October 1 and the class three and four 2200 m she won at Ellerslie was her only race since. She came home gamely to beat Regulate, to which she was conceding 7kg. Probably she would be improved with the gallop. Lord Marbet has shown himself well able to go fresh, and he could be the hardest to beat in the second leg. the Electric Handicap.
