Quick pea soup

Pea soup may be made very quickly in an emergency by using tinned peas. Quantities given in this recipe should make about six cups of soup. You will need:— 1 large can green peas 2 cups of stock or stock made from bouillon powder or cubes 2 tablespoons lemon juice 1 tablespoon butter Salt Paprika. Method.—Put the peas through a sieve or blender and add the liquor from the can with the stock, lemon juice and butter. Heat and taste for seasoning of salt. Serve sprinkled lightly with paprika.
