Funds not for tour

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON.

The association was asked in a letter by the Christchurch Committee on Southern Africa not to channel its profits into promoting tours to South Africa. The chairman of the N.Z.L.T.A. (Mr I. D. Wells) said that from the outset his association had told the public where profits would be channelled. “No money from raffles is going into tours overseas. We made it quite clear to everyone,” Mr Wells said.
