Property valuations
Sir, — With the inflationary price of land at the present time, I am looking forward with '■'me trepidation to the next Government valuation of house properties. As values stand at present, I foresee an increase in our re-valuation of at least one-third, probably as much as half. This in turn is going to mean a tremendous increase in our rates. Can the Citizens’ Association, or the Labour Party tell us how they intend to combat this trend? Or will they just pass the buck, and say it is not of their making, and therefore outside their control? — Yours, etc.,
RATEPAYER. October 9, 1974.
