Lucy’s best friend has a ball

A soccer match came to an abrupt end on Saturday when a dog took a liking to the ball.
During a local cup match between Lucy Sports and Stadhampton in Oxford, the ball was kicked out of the ground into a dog pound containi n g a particularly ferocious animal.
The pound-keeper could not be found — and noone was prepared to retrieve the ball.
The referee decided to abandon the match, pleasing both the dog, with its new toy, and Lucy Sports, which was losing 4-0.
