Special vote forms
About 450 special voting forms have been issued for the city council elections. Special voting began on Monday and will go on until election day, October 12. It is intended to enable those who are sick or infirm, or who will be out of the country on election day to cast a vote. The returning officer (Mr M. W. Atkinson) said forms had gone to the United States, England, Canada, and France.
/ Special voting forms can be obtained from polling places at the Sydenham Rugby Football Club, Colombo Street, the Rugby Street Methodist Church Hall, the Edgeware Road Methodist Church Hall, the New Brighton Jaycees Hall, Shaw Avenue, Woolston Library, Ferry Road and the City Council offices.
