M.C.C. honours McGregor
S. N. McGregor, who played 25 tests for New Zealand, between 1955 and 1965, has been honoured by the M.C.C. with an offer of honorary life membership. Such invitations are tendered, from time to time, “as a token of appreciation of services rendered to the game.” McGregor, who played all his Plunket Shield cricket for Otago, made two major tours, to India and Pakistan in 1955-56, and to South Africa in 1961-62. For the last few seasons he has been playing for St Albans in the president’s grade competition in Christchurch.
