Drivers stop deliveries
About a dozen drivers of trucks delivering furnace oil in Christchurch have stopped deliveries to all but essential services. The drivers, who are in a dispute with six local oil company branches over conditions of payment, will meet this morning to discuss the matter. The deliveries were stopped at 10 a.m. on Monday. The drivers are usually em ployed full-time on furnace oil deliveries. Petrol deliveries are affected.
