Pilot dies
(N.Z. Press Association) GISBORNE, October 1. A Gisborne topdressing pilot was killed when his Fletcher 300 aircraft struck the side of a hill on a station about six miles from Ruatoria about 2.30 p.m. today. He was Peter Richard Hood, aged about 36, of Gisborne, I married, with two children. 4
