Castro seeks improvement <.V Z.P A -Reuter—Copyright) HAVANA, Oct. 1. 1 The Cuban Prime Minister (Dr Castro) is interested in improving relations with the United States, according to two American senators visiting Havana, Senator Jacobi Javits (Republican, New York) and Senator Claiborne Pell (Democrat, Rhode Island). They say that their talks with Dr Castro were “frank, warm, and friendly”. It is the finst visit to Cuba by members of the United States Congress since America broke off relations with Cuba three years ago. Both senators are members of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. “Dr Castro expressed hi.", concern about American policy, but it is our impression that the Cuban leader wishes to work towards better relations with the United Senator Pell said.
