Alfons (left) and Aloys Kontarsky, the Germanborn brothers who have been in Christchurch to give a series of recitals. The last in the series will be given in the Ngaio . Marsh Theatre tomorrow night. This will be a demonstration lecture at 5 p.m., followed by a recital at at 8.30 pan. of contemporary works, including some by Stockhausen. The Kontarsky brothers are acknowledged authorities on the music of Stockhausen. They premiered his “Mantra” in London in 1970. Their interests, however, range widely as their concerts in Christchurch already have shown. Tomorrow’s recital and lecture have been arranged by the Christchurch Chamber Music Society and the School of Music of the University of Canterbury.
