The Court of Appeal has partly allowed appeals against conviction entered by Mr Justice Macarthur in the Supreme Court in Christchurch on June 10. The appellant, Theresa Julia. Both appellants had pleaded j ; not guilty, but the jury had found Haskett guilty on both counts with a recommendation for leniency and had found Calder guilty on the second count. Sentence was deferred. The Court of Appeal comprised Mr Justice McCarthy, Mr Justice Richmond and Mr Justice Woodhouse. Mr A. W. Robinson appeared for Calder. Mr R. L.
