MELBOURNE. [ The group net profit of; Repco. Ltd. Australian motor industry manufacturer, fell 1.7 per cent to $9,271,406 in [the year to June 30. The [profit was struck after pro-, I vision for taxation rose [52,495,330 to $11,202,306 and* depreciation was $688,915! [higher at $6,172,067. The directors said cdsts of: operation rose substantially! during the year, including a 30.9 per cent increase in total wages and salaries.]' They have declared a final; dividend of 8 per cent, pay-; able on October 15, making; an unchanged total of 16 per [cent for the year. ; The company is to make [an issue of ssm of debenture;, i stock, with the right to, accept over-subscriptions of 1 a further ssm. The issue'] will offer 12.5 per cent: interest per annum for three • years, 12.75 per cent for five 1 [years, and 13.0 per cent for seven years. The stock will 1 be offered to the public, and prospectuses will be available about mid-October. The issue is being made to provide additional working capital, and to make provision for the continuing development of the Repco group.
