Miss Helen Sutch, for-! merly of Wellington, has! • been appointed an economic; adviser to the Home Office! 'in Britain.
Miss Sutch. daughter of! Dr W. B. Sutch. chairman of [ the Queen Elizabeth II Arts Council, earned a post-grad-i uate degree in economics at! Victoria University and lec-! tured there before returning! to England with her husband I a lecturer in political science' at Essex University.
As an economic adviser to the Home Office, Miss Sutch; has represented Britain at an; E.E.C. committee meeting in Brussells on social policy on aspects of urban poverty — dealing with ways of harmonising wage rates, pensions and child allowances in member countries.
