Noble-Beasley) -said at the annual meeting.' I The curtailment of new long-term advances would have an effect on the economy for a considerable time. Modern industrial equipment had to be financed over a longer period, but the association was unable to I finance this equipment, for which it was the principal lender. It was of great concern to the association that new investment was now at the rate of slBom compared with s2B6m last year. “It is not a trite claim to say that less power, industrial output, and forestry reserves than would be desirable, will be available in 1980,” Mr Noble-Beasley said.
