Two players suspended
The utility Christchurch- l Eastern Suburbs senior player, J. Maguiness, was suspended ; for the remainder of the season at the Canterbury Rugby leageu board of control meet- i Ing last evening. Maguiness was ordeded off in the first half of the premier match against Linwood last Saturday. A , After hearing the judiciary committee’s report in committee, the board of control unanimously agreed on the suspension, which will include any friendly fixture. The chairman (Mr M. R. A Kaiapol senior third player,' R. Angland, who was ordered off! a fortnight ago, was suspended for two weeks for a high tackle.
