PUMPS FOR CONCRETE
Pumps for pumping concrete, mounted on truck and trailer units, are being made at Levin for the New Zealand market and for export to Australia, the Pacific Islands and South-East Asia. Orders worth more than $300,000 have been received for the pumps, which are used on construction sites. The pumps are being made by R. Patton and Son, Ltd, in conjunction with Bursell Engineering (N.Z.), Ltd. Seventy per cent of the parts used are made in New Zealand but specialised components such as the engines and hydraulic systems are imported.
