VOLLEYBALL
The defeat of University C and Smash women last week in the second division of the Canterbury volleyball competition at Cowles Stadium has left Y.M.C.A. B as a clear leader in ! its section. A handicap tournament for the Kerdemelidis Cup will be played during the holiday recess. Clubs entering will have their handicaps assessed on performances in the competition to date. Y.M.C.A. A and Smash A, winner of the handicap competition last season, will be the lowest handicapped teams. Results:— Division I: Y.M.C.A. A 3. University A 0; Smash A 3. Teach-1 ers’ College 1; Smash B 3, Wigram 1. Division II: University B 3, Smash Women 0; Y.M.C.A. B 3. Smash C 0; University Women' 2. University C 1. Division III: Teachers’ College Women 2, Wigram B 1: Mairehau 3, University, Women B 0.
