Parun loses to top seed

Parun J of New Zealand, 6-3, 6-2, to I reach the men’s semi-finals of the United States clay-court tennis championships at the Indianapolis Racquet Club. Intermittent ram delayed all matches scheduled for the day, but Connors and Parun managed to dodge the showers long enough to squeeze in their match. It took nearly five hours to complete the two sets. Tournament officials were meeting late this evening to discuss an incident involving I. Nastase of Rumania, in his uncompleted quarterfinal match with the Mexican, R ''-mirez.
