Williamson Trophy win for Canterbury

Superiority in the pairs and in the second round of singles was the basis for Canterbury’s 37-19 win over North Otago in the A. E. Williamson Memorial Cup indoor bowls event at Oamaru at the week-end. It was a good performance by Canterbury as all the players were making their first appearance. Most of the North Otago team had had experience in the fixture previously. Both Canterbury skips. R. G Ellis and M. L. Davis, conceded only one game.
