Test bowler suspended

(N.Z.P. A.-Reuter—Copyright) LONDON. The England fast bowler, G. G. Arnold, has been suspended for two matches for disputing an umpiring decision in Surrey's John Player League match against Warwickshire. The test and county cricket board’s disciplinary committee said it was satisfied that Arnold showed public dissent against the decision of an umpire. Arnold is currently playing in the second test against Pakistan. Arnold, believed to be the first player in modern times to be barred from a specific county match, reacted angrily when the umpire, Mr P. Wight, ruled he had bowled a wide down the legside.
