Situation: A small depression west of New Plymouth is slowmoving and an anticyclone east of Canterbury is almost stationary; depressions in the central Tasman Sea are expected to pass either north or south of New Zealand. Forecast:
Canterbury, Marlborough, f Nelson: Light northerly or easterly winds; cloudy; a few areas of light rain e likely; cool. * Buller, Westland: Variable e winds; fine, moderate after- - noon temperatures. r Outlook: Rain in Buller and Westland, mainly fair elsewhere.
