Hayes close to gaining squash rackets upset

M. Billington was well extended by the promising junior, R. Hayes, in the men’s A grade squash rackets competition. Hayes was well within reach of an upset victory until Billington began producing some fine power drives to the back of the court, with which Hayes was unable to cope. J. Tolchard, in complete con. trol, inflicted the first inter-club loss on G. Bird for the last two seasons, in three decisive games. Points are.—Men: H. 5.0.8.
