Property auctions
A four-bedroom house on a section of 47.9 perches at 69b Waimairi Road was passed in at auction yesterday when bidding reached $27,000. The property has a 1971 Government valuation of $12,600. The auctioneer was Mr M. J. C. Robinson, of Matthew Robinson, Ltd. A split-level, three-bed-room house at 512 Avonside Drive was sold for $24,500. The 33.6-perch property has a 1969 Government valuation of $BOOO. The auctioneer was Mr C. R. Blackett, of Warwick Todd, Ltd.
A large three-bedroom house at 11 Colombo Street was passed in when bidding reached $21,750. The 25.5perch property has been subdivided at the rear and has no Government valuation. The auctioneer was Mr P. J. Cook, of Simes and Company. A three-bedroom house on a section of 16.4 perches at 74 Clare Road, Merivale, was sold for $16,000. The property has a 1969 Government valuation of $5250. The auctioneer was Mr W. W. Anderson, of George Anderson and Son, Ltd.
