The Canterbury representative B. Stewart, easily won the New ; Brighton R.S A. * annual 50-50 indoor bowls fours tourna ment yesterday. After his opponent, E. Chaney. had twice killed the jack in the closing stages. Stewart drew away to win, 14-5. Results:— Quarter-finals. —B. Stewart 9, D. J. Griffiths 1; T. Flaws 8. P Logan 7: Mrs B. Tomlinson 7. A. E. Williamson 6; E. Chanfli 9, L. Whinwray 6.
Semi-finals.—Chaney 18. Flaws 7; Stewart 10, Mrs Tomlinson 8. Final —Mrs M McGuire, C. Greenhaugh, Mrs S. Hecker. Stewart 14. Mrs J. Chaney, J. Elcock. R. G. Ludbrook, Chanev 5.
