NETBALL SQUAD
Eighteen players were named on Saturday for next weeks senior netball trial to select a Canterbury squad to compete in the Queen's Birthday Weekend tournament in Christchurch.

A trial to select the Canterbury under 21 team, which will also compete in the tournament, was held yesterday.
The teams which will compete are Canterbury, Canterbury under 21. Otago. South Canterbury, Soutliland. South Canterbury, Nelson, Hokitika. Canterbury Country, West Coast. North Otago. Ashburton, Marlborough, Temuka, South Canterbury Minor and Buller. From these teams of 12 a representative side from each area will be selected to play In a South Island tournament in August.
