Appeal against suspension
The Rlccarton jockey, M. C. Thornley, rider of Peter's Pick ■in the Seadown Handicap at Amberley last Saturday, and the horse's ikamatua ownertrainer, G. O'Malley, have lodged appeals against the decision of the Amberley Racing Club's judicial committee in delegating Peter's Pick from first to second. * Thornley has also appealed against his suspension from race riding up till and including May 25. He was found Suilty of foul riding. The appeals will be heard by the Canterbury District Committee later this week.
