AJAX-G.K.N. LIFT PROFIT
Ajax G.K.N., the Lower Hutt-based nut. bolt and; screw manufacturer, increased its profit 29.7 per, cent to $694,330 in the year) to March 31, the directors say in a preliminary report.
Last year's profit wasi $535,328. The directors recommend! ; an increase in the annual di-: ividend to 10 per cent from the 9 per cent paid last! year. The dividend will require $285,000, which is covered 2.4 times by the profit, and will leave $409,330 to be transferred to reserves. The earning rate on capital has risen to 24.36 per cent from 18.8 per cent last year. The dividend is payable on July 29, ex June 26.
