The Canterbury under 19 tennis champion, C. Brading, had the tables turned on him in Australia at the week-end when he was beaten by D. Tighe, of New South Wales. 9-5. In the final of the Canterbury tournament, Brading beat Tighe, who was then a member of the visiting New South Wales Combined High School side, 6-4, 2-6, 6-2. Brading is a member of the Canterbury secondary schools team which is paying a return visit to Australia, and he met Tighe in the top singles of a j match with the combined teams ,at Roseville.
