TENDERS will be invited shortly from a selected number of interested contractors for lump sum contracts for the erection of the abovedescribed building. The first contract covers the excavation for and the construction of approximately 5003 sq. metres gross of basement floor slab with foundations and perimeter podium walls up to Lower Ground and Ground levels on a site of approximately 7310 sq. metres. Construction for the first stage is predominantly of reinforced concrete. Date for completion is approximately September. 1975. A second contract not necessarily by the first contractor will cover the construction of the remaining 22,097 sq. metres gross built on the first stage foundations and walls. Building contractors interested in tendering for this work may obtain copies of a Registration Questionnaire form from any of the Ministry of Works and Development district offices in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.
