N.S.W. boy boxers to fight in Chch
The team of nine boxers from the New South Wales Police Boys' Club which will tour New Zealand next month will have its international and internal travel sponsored by Trans Tours.
The team, which will fight al South Island side in Christchurch on May 11. will also have bouts) in Wellington. Rotorua, and; Auckland. The weight divisions in which) the team is represented range! from 32kg to 60Jkg, and there’ will be 10 additional fighters! from the Fairfield Boxing Club in Sydney. They will not be sponsored, however. A letter from the police club received by the Canterbury Boxing Association, said the bouts held to select the team had attracted crowds of between 2000: and 3000 people. Several of the boys are state title-holders. The New South Wales team is: under 32kg, M. McGlaughlin; under 35kg, W. Mulholland: under 38kg, B. Plncott: under 42kg, B. Tink; under 441 kg. W. Alexander; under 51kg, G. Wil-! Hams; under 54kg, B. Williams;,' under 57kg, P. Batty; under) 60Jkg, P. Peterson. CONTRACT SIGNED The Commonwealth Games bronze medallist. L. Revlll, who; has since turned professional,: has signed the contract to fight; R. Ifono (Canterbury) at Canter--burv Court on June 16. ;

a purse of $4OO to be shared 60/40, and over 10 two-minute rounds.
Revlll, however, has included a heavy penalty clause that if Ifopo weighs in over the middleweight limit of list 61b. Ifopo will forfeit S5O.
Mr Drury said negotiations had also begun for the Christchurch professional, S. Alisala to fight a Dunedin opponent at the Woolston Working Men’s Club some time in June.
