Air records claimed
Two British pilots claimed to have set a round-the-world; flying record for light air-‘ craft when they landed theiri Cessna 310 aircraft on an; Elstree, Hertfordshire, airfield yesterday. Mr Alan Dyer, aged 39, and Mr Jan Berman, aged 40, completed their 28,000-mile flight in 18 (days, and claim to have; broken' 11 existing records) (for times between Britain, (Greece, Iran, India. Thailand,) Singapore, the Philippines.' Hong Kong, Japan, the United States, Canada, and Iceland. Mr Berman, who is; the British air-racing cham-i pion, commented: “The only! I trouble we had was off Japan,! ; where, because of the, weather, we had to fly 3000 (miles out of our way.”— Elstree, April 29.
