Rangatira sails
When the Rangatira sailed from Lyttelton for Wellington at 8.30 last evening she was carrying a full complement of more than 600 passengers, including about 100 from the diverted Aramoana and about 300 from the Rangatira’s earlier abortive attempt to reach Wellington. Mr A. J. Smith, of the Union Steam Ship Com-
pany, said last evening that the winds were supposed to have abated in Cook Strait and that the Rangatira would sail as usual.
“As well as Sunday night’s passengers, the Rangatira will carry those who were unable to get to Wellington last night because of the Cook Strait storm,” Mr Smith said.
