Royal win in horse trials
(N.Z. Press Assn — Copyright) LONDON. ! Captain Mark Phillips has won his third three-day Badminton horse trial in four years. Riding Columbus, owned and bred by his mother-in-; law, the Queen, Captain; Phillips comfortably maintained the lead he took over the cross-country, i Princess Anne, who was (lying fifth on Goodwill yesterday, gave a fine display, (in the final jump, making up ground to fourth. Captain Phillips has almost ensured his selection in the British team for the world championship in September and Princess Anne is expected to be on the short ' list.
