CARTAGE RATES UP

WELLINGTON
The Ministry of Transport has approved increases of 2.2 per cent in all rural cartage rates, and 1.4 per cent in all town cartage rates. The Road Carriers’ Association said in a statement that the increases were because of the new fuel prices announced last week.
