N.Z. girl on bond

(N.Z. Press Assn —Copyright) BRISBANE.

A New Zealand girl, who the Crown said kept watch while a 73-year-old woman was robbed and killed last September, was released on a bond in the District Court. Rowena Pihema, aged 20, single, undertook before Judge Cormack to return immediately to New Zealand with her mother.

Pihema pleaded guilty to a charge of having, on or about September 29 last year, entered the dwelling house of Lilian Brice at night with intent to commit a crime.

Two women, Karen Tonkin and Mandy Montgomery, are serving life sentences for the murder of Miss Brice, and a third woman is serving four years gaol on an associated charge.
