Smith, who has taken over Rose Mellay’s training from the New Zealand trainer, E. B. Skelton, said last night that the mare would start in the Twickenham Flying Handicap (HOOmj in which she will carry 56.5 kg.
Smith said that he was exceptionally pleased by Rose Mellay’s progress in the five weeks she has been at Tulloch Lodge. Her main mission is the Brisbane Cup at Eagle Farm 'in June
