New R.P.A. move
The Christchurch City Council is still wary of full support for the Canterbury Regional Authority. The council, defeated at a meeting of local bodies on the new authority in. a move to change representation, will again try to change the voting power. It will further consider the proposal for representation—which gives the City Council five votes to one each for 13 local bodies, two for the Paparua county, and three for Waimairi.
