Project profit fell
A loss by the construction division of Project Devel-I opment Corporation, Ltd, I seems to have been the J cause of a sharp fall in ! group earnings in the year Ito December 31. Net profit fell 67.1 per cent to $115,336 and the directors have decided not to recommend a J final dividend. The net profit for the half-year was ;$ 191,407 so the group operated at a loss for the remaining six months. The net profit is equal to 2.8 per cent on capital compared with 8.5 per cent previously. It was after allowing $675,94.3 for depreciation ($743,778) and $55,000 for tax (nil).
