FIELD TRIP
About 130 members and 'friends of the New Zealand .Historic Places Trust took part in a field trip through ■the area south of Christ- ■ church on Saturday.
The group visited the extinct town of Selwyn, established bv a speculator in the 1860 s, Rolleston, where an abortive attempt was made i to'form a town in 1866. and Burnham Military Camp, said Mr J. R. Allison, secretary ■of the Canterbury Regional i Committee.
