Group will be more active
The Student Nurses’ Association would be more active and more militant in the future, its president (Mr M. Garner) said on the last day of the Nurses’ Association national conference at the Town Hall yesterday. Mr Garner, the first male president of the Student Nurses’ Association, also said that the group might become a financially separate entity from the Nurses’ Association. The Nurses’ Association later approved this, although student nurses would retain the right to vote on matters pertaining to them,
