Debutante ball
More than 400 guests watched the presentation of 13 debutantes at the Cottesmore College debutante ball at the Old Orchard on Saturday evening. The girls, who were escorted by their fathers, were presented to the Roman Catholic Bishop of Christchurch (the Most Rev. B. P. Ashby), by the president of the Sacre Coeur Old Giris’ Association (Mrs J. J. Darby).
The debutantes were: Misses Donelle Haar, Patricia Latham. Janine Mora, Lyn,ette Voysey, Decima Kavaniagh, Joanne Sheehan, Helen Darby, Katrina O’Connell, Jennifer Poulter. Wendy Byworth, Donna Petrie, Rosemary Cotter, and Roisin Pavletich.
