Marijuana laws to he eased?
(N.Z. Presi Association) WELLINGTON, March 25. Legislation reducing penalties for use and possession of marijuana was likely to, be introduced into Parliament before the beginning of a two-month adjournment at the end of this week, the Acting Prime Minister (Mr Watt) said today.
The bill had been dratted, and after introduction would probably be referred to a special committee of Parliament, he said after a meeting of the Cabinet today.
The legislation follow* a Board of Health report to the Minister of Health (Mr Tizard).
