Burglaries
Detectives are investigating a number of burglaries per-: formed in Christchurch and Lincoln yesterday. Two . antique swords arid two imitation swords worth a total of $215, and a tran-| sistor radio valued at $9O, were stolen from a house in Memorial Avenue while the occupants were away yesterday. A cassette recorder worth, $3OO and a portable hairdresser worth $3O were stolen from a flat in Heaton Street. A flat in Worcester Street; was also burgled and a large quantity of clothing was stolen. A house in Edwards Street. Lincoln, was burgled for the second time in five days. A radio worth $25. a pair of I glasses and about $7 cash were stolen. The burglary of watches worth $1634 and $9O cash from Blaxall and Steven,, Ltd, 352 Manchester Street,; is also being investigated.
