VISIT OFF
fN.Z Press Assn—Copyright) PARIS, March 25.
President Pompidou of France has postponed the official visit to Japan he was to have made before June.
Mr Pompidou has been in ill-health for some time, and there is widespread speculation that he may re linquish his office soon in favour of a younger, and fitter, man. A Foreign Ministry spokesman says that the Foreign Minister (Mr Michel Jobert) will go to Tokyo next month for bilateral Ministerial talks, and that the Minister of Culture and Environment (Mr Alain Peyrefitte) will visit Japan between April 17 and 23, to open an exhibition of the Mona Lisa, and to hold discussions on environmental matters with Japanese officials.
